When your house is listed and potential buyers are going through the listings they will narrow their searches down to what looks like the best deals. Since there are so many houses for sale cheap these days, it’s not hard for them to find true bargains. If your house is overpriced, they’ll skip on to the next listing without a second glance.

Do your homework to make sure yours is well priced in comparison to others in the area and is perhaps slightly lower. Another problem may be the way you have it described or in the photos shown with the listing. Make sure they are clear, clutter free, and show the best and most appealing parts of the house and yard.
If you’ve got lots of lookers that make appointments and come to see the house but no one is interested beyond that, there’s most likely trouble somewhere in the house or on the property. Something about it is bothering the buyers and causes them to continue on with their house hunt.
Look around at your house. Start outside at the curb. Does it look appealing when you pull up? Is the yard neat and tidy with no toys, tools, or hoses lying around? Do you have the lawn, trees, and flower beds well kept consistently? Now step inside through the front door. The house should have a pleasant smell or no smell at all. Keep it picked up and free of clutter. Clutter makes rooms look smaller and buyers will be put off by any odors of pets, cooking, smoking, etc. If you can’t see what’s wrong, or have trouble smelling odors, ask someone you trust to be truthful with you so you can correct the problem.
